Dr. Nadeem Ahmed

Dr. Nadeem Ahmed is presently serving at Combined Military Hospital Quetta as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR). He is the only Rehabilitation Medicine specialist in Baluchistan Province. The facility provides rehabilitation services to armed forces as well as civilian population. Dr. Nadeem served in various military field hospitals before joining the residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) at the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM). He also served in Combined Military Hospital Peshawar from 2003-2005 and has extensive experience of handling combat related injuries in the war affected zone in the Western regions of the country. Dr. Nadeem completed his schooling from Cadet College Hasan Abdal. He is gold medallist in Highers Secondary School Board Examination (premedical). He was also awarded gold medal in final professional examination of MBBS at Army Medical College Rawalpindi. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad did his fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine in 2002 from College of Physician and Surgeons Karachi Pakistan and is among the pioneer batches of PMR in the country. He went to Italy for advance training in Urodynamics and had gained further expertise in Electrodiagnostic Medicine from Turkey. He secured another gold medal in Masters (MSc) in pain medicine from Riphah university. He has been supervising training of PMR residents since 2007 at Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine Rawalpindi (AFIRM). Presently he is the faculty member, examiner and paper setter at College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan. He was member of Pakistani PMR delegation to United Kingdom for liaison and coordination of PMR training in the country. He was the key person of dynamic team at AFIRM which worked hard for promoting PMR in the region. He enjoys poetry and reading in his leisure time
