Dr. Wajahat Kamal

Dr. Wajahat is working as Registrar in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Mayo Hospital Lahore affiliated with King Edward Medical University. He has long standing affiliation with this department since 2000 when he joined as a resident. After completing his residency requirements, he continued to provide his services at the same department. He has substantial contribution in promoting disability care among health care professionals and has led many projects to increase public awareness about social aspects of disability. He has represented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in electronic media through television shows, guest interviews and panel discussions. Dr. Wajahat organized and participated in various social events for the disabled including walks, sports, national days and ceremonial events. He was one the main organizers of first International Sports Medicine conference and first National Conference of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Lahore. He also provides his expertise at Punjab Disability Board for evaluation of disability prior to issuance of disability certificates. Dr. Wajahat is a graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical College. He completed his ECFMG certification in 1996, and later preferred to continue his career in Pakistan.
