Dr. Khaula Ashraf Chowdary

Dr Khaula Ashraf Chowdary is an Associate Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad. She has clinical expertise in pain management, musculoskeletal injuries, liver transplant rehabilitation and geriatrics.
Dr. Khaula completed her medicine degree from Army Medical College Rawalpindi in 1997 and worked at various Armed Forces Hospitals till 2011. During that period, she completed her postgraduate training from Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) Rawalpindi and passed the exit exam to become the Fellow of College of Physician & Surgeons in 2007. She has been affiliated with the Rehabilitation Department at Shifa International Hospital since 2013 where she assisted in the establishment of Orthotics laboratory and introduced the comprehensive rehabilitation model of care. She had been working closely with Liver Transplant Patients and has researched on functional status in end stage liver disease in patients undergoing liver transplant at the institute.
Her interests are travelling, photography and reading.
