Dr. Naureen Tassadaq

Dr. Naureen Tassadaq is a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi. Since 2007, she has been heading a state of the art, fully-equipped rehabilitation department and artificial limb center. She is also the Director and Associate Dean (Clinical) of Foundation University Institute of Rehab Sciences (FUIRS). Prior to this she worked as a Sports Medical Specialist and went abroad with the Pakistani Contingent. Foundation University Institute of Rehab Sciences (FUIRS) has been established with an objective to impart market based higher education to the candidates and produce rehabilitation practitioners and professionals. The clinical training is carried out at the Rehabilitation Department at Fauji Foundation Hospital which is a 740 bedded, tertiary care center offering treatment to veterans from Rawalpindi and surrounding areas. The College, hospital and other allied facilities are located in purpose built campus which is at the outskirts of Rawalpindi at the junction of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It draws a large number of patients daily which offers a vast experience and hands on training for the trainees. Dr. Naureen has been successfully running indoor and outdoor clinics at Fauji Foundation Hospital through inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary team approaches, and is actively involved in teaching postgraduates and under-graduates physiotherapists, and allied rehab staff. She is also the managing secretary for Fauji Foundation Health Journal. Dr. Naureen is a graduate of Nishtar Medical College. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) and passed the exit exam to become the Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) in 2007. She underwent advanced training in Rehabilitation Medicine from renowned centers in United Kingdom and Switzerland. Later, she did her MSc in Pain Medicine in 2013.
