Dr. Saquib Hanif Janjua

Dr. Saquib Hanif Janjua completed his MBBS in 2000 from Army Medical College Rawalpindi. In 2003, he started his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) and passed the exit exam in 2008 to become the Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS). He served as Consultant Physiatrist at Combined Military Hospital Bahawalpur for 4 years followed by 3 years of service in Kharian. At present, he is working as a full time Consultant at PNS Shifa hospital, Karachi. He is also Assistant Professor Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Bahria University Medical and Dental college (BUMDC). Throughout his registrar-ship at AFIRM, he remained actively involved in the training and teaching of the PMR residents, Nursing Officers, Assistants, and Physiotherapists for Class I & II training under Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute, Rawalpindi. During his clinical practice, he has been a part of many departmental audits, most of which were carried out at AFIRM. After the devastating earthquake of October 2005 in Pakistan, more than 400 individuals with acute spinal cord injuries were rehabilitated at AFIRM. Dr. Saquib and his colleagues were actively involved in management of these patients and provided hands on training to general duty doctors and nursing staff in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
During his leisure time he enjoys landscaping art, oil painting and regularly plays tennis.
